CHILL” women’s charentaise blue – Recycled wool
blue - Recycled wool65€
I’m so pleased to present the fruit of a warm collaboration with the whole team at L’ATELIER CHARENTAISES.
The top of this slipper is jacquard knitted from recycled wool from the Filatures du Parc, and the inside is 100% soft, fluffy wool for optimum comfort. The sole is made of 5-chain felt, also 100% wool, covered with a non-slip sole for added safety. True to the tradition of sew-and-turn, each pair of CHILL shoes is made entirely by hand.
To make the most of their comfort, wear them barefoot 😉
As for me, I never leave them! 😊

– Recycled wool
Recycled wool is obtained from the recycling of existing woollen garments and other materials. This recycling process is called post-consumer.
Recycled wool is an eco-responsible material by definition, anti-waste and part of a circular approach.
Its colour is a clever blend of the colours of recycled jumpers. It has therefore not been dyed.
– Certification
GRS ( Global Recycled Standard )
The recycling process is fully certified and traceable. This certification is awarded after an independent audit and guarantees recycled content, quality, social and environmental practices as well as restrictions on chemical composition.
What is a Life Cycle Assessment?
LCA is a way of measuring the environmental performance of our 100% recycled yarns and quantifying the impacts during their life cycle, from the extraction of the raw material to the production of the yarn.
The results communicated by Les Filatures du Parc show that this recycled yarn is at least 98% less polluting than a yarn made from new materials.
Our charentaises are made at theAtelier Charentaise, an institution in the Charente region. Founded in 1907 in La Rochefoucauld, this family-run business has been perpetuating the ancestral know-how of reverse stitching on woven felt soles for four generations.
Now run by Michel and Olivier, the workshop is still the last charentaise manufacturer in Charente to use this traditional technique. With 16 passionate craftsmen, each pair of charentaises is made in the traditional way, guaranteeing exceptional comfort and quality.
We are proud to work with this workshop, a real jewel in the crown of the Charente region, to offer you an authentic, hand-made product.
Our fully sewn charentaises can be machine washed. We recommend that you wash them cold, with a gentle spin at 400 rpm. Don’t forget to put them in a wash bag to prevent them from hitting the drum.
Take your usual size. If you’re hesitating between 2 sizes, take the smallest.
